Dave Smith is 39 years old, from Northern Ireland. He graduated with an Honours degree in Sport from Staffordshire University and subsequently  lectured at honours degree level in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and coaching science.

Since 1989 he has worked as a sports training consultant and trained world champions, Tour de France stage winners, Olympic medalists and numerous national champions. For three years Dave was national road racing coach for the British cycling team. He has worked with athletes in numerous sports including cycling, motor sport, soccer, racquet sports, triathlon and from elite professional to recreational level.

A founder director of Trixter Developments Ltd, an innovative UK fitness equipment company, Dave left Trixter in 2004 with the company having a market value of $15 million.Dave has worked as a marketing consultant on projects as diverse as $500m civil engineering tenders, direct marketing, and sports sponsorship.
